The changing Eagle

There was once a story about a brave man who found an eagle's egg and put it into the nest of a chicken. The eagle hatched with the breed of chicks and grew up with them.
All his life, the changing eagle, thinking he was a chicken, did what chickens did. He scratched in the soil for seeds and insects to eat. He chicked and crackled, and he flew in brief thrashing of wings and flurry of feathers no more than a few feet from the ground. After all that's how chickens were supposed to fly.
Years passed and the changing eagle grew very old. One day, he saw a magnificent bird far above him in the cloudless sky. Hanging with graceful majesty on the powerful wind currents; it soared with scarely a beat of it's strong golden wings.
What a beautiful bird! Said that changing eagle to its neighbour. What is it?
That is an eagle- the chief of birds' the neighbour chicked, but don't give it a second thought. You could never and can never be like him!
So the changing eagle never gave it a second thought. And it died thinking it was a chicken.
What a tragedy! Built to soar into the heavens, but conditioned to stay earth- bound, he pecked at stray seeds and insects. Though designed to be among the most awesome of all birds, instead he belived his neighbour's advice. 'Hey you are only a chicken come on, lets go find some insects to eat.
Right now, you may find yourself in a situation much like that changing eagle. You know you are designed to perform tasks far greater than you have performed to date. You know you have the ability to move beyond your present self imposed limitations but for some reasons you have not chosen the path of excellence. Try getting yourself informed of who you are and don't wait for people to tell you.
